Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed her new name following her conversion to Islam.
Mercy made this known in a video at a Ramadan event she hosted with her husband, Kazeem Adeoti on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
The award-winning actress also disclosed that her new name is now Meenah.
In a video of the event which emerged on Sunday, the actress said, “Insha Allah, my new name is Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti. Meenah with the H.”
She also expressed her appreciation to the guests who turned up for the lecture.
The actress got married to Adeoti in 2022 and was accused of having an extramarital affair while she was still married to her ex, Lanre Gentry.
But Mercy denied the allegation, saying she has constantly been lied against despite explaining her situation and telling her side of the story.
