Manchester City has defeated Chelsea in a 4-0 win during their FA Cup match this evening. This makes it the second time Manchester City will be punishing the Old trafford side within the last four days.

Mancester City were already three up at half-time thanks to magnificent free-kick from Riyad Mahrez’s, brilliant penalty kick from Julian Alvarez’s and a tremendous team goal from Phil Foden’s . Mahrez added another goal in the second half of the Match at 85 Minutes to seal the win for City.

The result of today’s match adds to the pressure on Potter, who was only appointed as the blues coach in September 2022. As it stands now, Chelsea have lost six out of their last nine matches of every game played accross all competitions with no single away victory from home since the last time they beat Red Bull of Salzburg in October 2022.

After the game, Graham Potter declared he did not fear being sacked at Chelsea. One chelsea fan on twitter have said “Well, he is checking his chances. It was not just the defeat by Manchester City that really mattered, but the embarrassing manner at which it happened”. This loss today made it the first time Chelsea has exited the FA Cup at the third round since 1998.

As for Manchester City, it was a high-handed win, as they outshined Chelsea in a dazzling 90-minute encounter to set up a fourth-round tie at Etihad to meet the winner of the match between Arsenal and League One Oxford United, who are meeting tonight.
